★★★★★ Since 2007 I have suffered from numerous small bowel obstructions to the point where, on average, I was being admitted to the hospital every four to five months for the past seven years with small bowel obstructions. The hospital stay would always involve a nasal gastric tube over a three day period while the obstruction relieved itself. Surgery, while an option, was couched in terms of the last alternative if the SBO did not relieve itself. During my last episode that consisted of two back-to-back blockages within 3 weeks of one another in October 2014, Dr. Charles Atkinson of Agave Surgical outlined a surgical alternative that would likely alleviate future blockages.

The procedure went off without any problem. While its too early to know if the surgery has been successful in alleviating future blockages Dr. Atkinson's confidence, professionalism, bedside manner and knowledge was the determining factor in opting for the surgery. While only time will tell, I am confident that Dr. Atkinson's surgical procedure has eliminated what was becoming a negative life changing condition. Left unaddressed I am convinced future blockages would occur and would ultimately result in an extremely serious condition and possibly life threatening.

Dr. Atkinson and Agave Surgical Associates have my highest recommendation. I could not have asked for better medical care - something that I have found is becoming increasingly difficult to say about today's health care and hospital services.

My sincere and heart felt "Thank you" to Dr. Atkinson, his staff and the staff of Tucson Medical Hospital where the procedure was performed.
